| Pro-Vitals unique formula for hand feeding supplement is of major importance for the health of all babies being fed hand feeding formula. It contains a complete array of Vitamins, Electrolytes, and Chelated Minerals. Our product has very small quantities of the vitamins that are thought to produce toxicity in some of the parrots, making this product safe to be use with all hand feeding formulas. This product is rich with those vitamins that enhance a healthy growth and promote a healthy immune system. Having a Complex Carbohydrate, gives this product a rich source of rapidly available highly digestible carbohydrates for those babies that need that extra pep to start them off in a healthy path. Included are those Omega fatty acids so indispensable for a healthy immune system and normal development of the skin and feather folicles. Added to this formula is an array of amino-acids in minimal amounts to enhance growth (Building blocks of protein). This are added in adequate amounts to compensate for any special needs. An array of Probiotic's (Live micro-encapsulated beneficial bacteria and life yeast, strains and concentrations not included in hand feeding formulas) to stimulate the immune system and to produce digestive enzymes. An array of digestive enzymes has been added. Enzymes (NONE FROM ANIMAL ORIGIN) that target all of those unnatural ingredients included in hand feeding formulas (compared to wild population nutritional habits and ingredients) such as corn, soy, wheat, oats, and others, to give maximum assistance to the birds digestion and as an aid in minimizing sour crop or undigestible food, boosting the digestive process. Two of our most important ingredients are Pro-Vital's BIO-TAG, and L-Carnitine(NOT INCLUDED IN HAND FEEDING FORMULAS). Pro-Vital Bio Tag is an ingreedient that acts as a magnet for Salmonella and E. coli which are potential pathogens ( most commom) and diseases producing organisms. Bio-tag actually attracts the pathogens so they do not adhere to the host's intestinal tract and are expelled in the feces of the bird, not allowing them to produce the disease. L-Carnitine is of great importance. It is a substance that allows the muscles cells to utilize the fat accumulated within the muscle fibers to be used as energy. This allows the young birds to use another source of energy for growth and maintenance. It also diminishes muscle fatigue, and aids in the prevention of obesity. Included is a natural, plant extract approved for the elimination of fecal odors. You will find dry stool preventing messy nest and contamination. All of Pro-Vital Products are of high quality to maintain our high standards and reputation. This product is a complete supplement with many beneficial ingredients not found in many other supplements or hand feeding formulas. This product is sold as a supplement TO MIX IN ALL HAND FEEDING FORMULAS. Role of Probiotics in Animal Nutrition Probiotics are live cultures of microorganisms including species of Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, yeasts etc, that beneficially affect the host upon ingestion by improving the balance of the intestinal microflora. The gastrointestinal tract is a complex ecosystem in which a delicate balance exists between the intestinal microflora and the host. The microflora is principally comprised of Facultative anaerobes (Lactobacillus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus and Bacillus) and obligate anaerobes (Bifidobacterium, Clostridium, Eubacterium, Fusobacterium, Bacteroides). The intestinal microflora primarily acts as a barrier of intestinal mucosa thereby preventing the colonization of pathogenic microorganisms and entry of allergens. They are also known to produce certain antibiotic like substances which help control the pathogenic microorganisms. Intestinal microflora also helps maturation of the immune system, development of normal intestinal morphology and in immunologically balanced inflammatory response. Some of the microflora are also known to contribute to the body requirements of certain vitamins, biotin, pantothenic acid and Vitamin B12. The balance of microbial flora may get disturbed due to use of antibiotics or chemotherapeutics, ageing, disease, stress, etc. Probiotics are popular on a commercial scale in animal feeds as alone and along with yeasts, and fungal cultures producing fiber degrading enzymes. Their use in pelleted feed has been limited because most of the strains of probiotic bacterial cultures were destroyed at pelleting temperatures. Research has shown that probiotic cultures performed significantly better in improving livestock performance when they were supplemented with specific nutrients. Also, no adverse or toxic reactions have so far been reported with the use of probiotics in animal feed. |
