The story is narrated in intermittent voiceovers by the voice of Anjana Sinha an IPS officer who was a North Indian police officer ,posted there during that time Sri Ram a communist works under a land lord Narayan whose close associate is a person called Chenna Sri Ram’s elder son Hari is a rebel (naxalite) operating from the forest in a guerilla war with the landlords ..he is deeply in love with a fellow rebel called Pavani Sri Ram’s younger son Ravi is a peace loving guy who is interested in setting up a business and wants to get married to a girl named Suneeta Chenna nourishes a jealousy towards Sriram’s proximity to Narayan and waits for the right time In a series of events Chenna manages to poison Narayan’s mind that Sri Ram is trying to raise a rebellion against him by the labourers. An eventually convinced Narayan gives a green signal to Chenna to arrange for Sriram’s killing. Chenna gives the job to Siddappa a confidante of Sriram who plans and kills Sri Ram in front of his own wife while they are on their way to attend a marriage. The murder creates a sensation in the area Sri Ram’s son Hari is enraged and tracks down Siddappa to kill him. An ultra violent Obul Rêddy and his elder brother Raman the dreaded sons of Chenna create mayhem in their desperate search for Hari to kill him. In a hair rising sequence of events Chenna hires a corrupt cop Kabir who manages to trap and kill Hari Ravi at that time is out of town Enraged by the death of his father and brother , Ravi along with Hari’s main associates Chaman and Suresh against the advise of his mother and his loved one Sunita, decides to continue his fathers and brothers fight effectively taking over his brother’s mantle
